Problem

External third-party system use meant a lack of control and customisation which led to inefficient resource use. Therefore, an inconsistent approach to managing stock, leading to missed margin opportunity and increased cost to stock. Without the ability to monitor live market supply and demand data there was a disjoint between stock procurement and retail teams.

Solution

Vertu were able to remove the need for external software applications by building their own used car stock management application utilising the Auto Trader API. This immediately gave hundreds of users the functionality and data they required to allow quick and easy adoption and decision making across the business

Across 114 retail outlets representing 16 OEM brands Vertu achieved a consistent view of the wider market and accurate pricing decision making in real time drastically reducing manual resource. Ultimately leading to improved control, consistency improving revenue and profit performance
